Dear Women of St. Paul’s Church,
It is an honor and privilege to serve as your ECW president in 2018. I look forward to working with each of you as we “Reflect His Light” at St. Paul’s, in our community and in the world.
To quote from the North Carolina diocesan website, “Any woman who is a member of the Episcopal Church automatically belongs to the Episcopal Church Women. We support, as an organization within the Episcopal Church or as individual church women, many groups that uphold the different gifts, values, and ministries of women, and advance the role of women in the mission of the Church.”
There is a ministry within the ECW that can benefit from your involvement. Whether it is helping with the Backpack Program, ironing church linens, volunteering for the Bazaar, joining a circle or giving to the United Thank Offering, there is a place for everyone in the ECW. Please contact me at email@example.com or (336) 760-0893 if you would like to discuss how you can become meaningfully involved in the ministries of the ECW.
Please prayerfully consider making a financial contribution to support your ECW. The ECW relies solely on ECW pledges. Your contribution allows us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, in our nation and in our world. All monies made by the Annual Bazaar and Luncheon are donated to various charities. A portion of your contribution goes to the ECW of the Diocese of North Carolina for programming and charities. All contributions are greatly appreciated and will make a difference.
If you prefer, you may donate by check, payable to St. Paul’s ECW, and sent or hand-delivered to the church offices, attn: ECW.

In closing, I will share with you the Episcopal Church Women’s prayer, which I find particularly relevant at the beginning of a new year.
Almighty God, we pray that you will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world. Help us to pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known the power of your love through your son Jesus Christ. Let us not forget the lessons from the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Anoint us with your grace and shine in our hearts as we reflect your light throughout the world. Amen.
