Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina

Rethink Goodwill Senior Adults’ Outing

On Friday morning, March 15, St. Paul’s Senior Adults will visit Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina headquarters on University Parkway, followed by lunch at Providence Restaurant in the Doubletree Hotel, where chefs train through Goodwill’s culinary arts program.

The group will be welcomed by the president of Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina and hear from a Goodwill client about the many programs and services of the organization.

Parishioner Pat Marquardt, whose grandfather co-founded the first Goodwill in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1902 and whose father served as president of Goodwills in Boston, Omaha and St. Paul, will share her stories of growing up in the Goodwill world.

The bus will leave St. Paul’s parking lot at 9:15 a.m. To reserve your place, send a check payable to St. Paul’s for $20 per person, which includes the cost of lunch, to Senior Adults Minister Anne Rahn. Contact Anne at (336) 723-4797 or arahn@stpauls-ws.org.
