This summer, during the second week of July, St. Paul’s will send approximately 20 middle-schoolers from our Summer Enrichment Program to Kanuga’s Camp Bob, an uplifting summer camping experience for children who otherwise might not be able to attend camp.
Camp Bob’s program, for children between 8 and 17 years old, is specifically designed to develop trust and hope in all its participants. Thanks to sponsorship from more than 20 churches, including St. Paul’s, and other organizations across the Southeast, approximately 1,000 children attend Camp Bob each summer at no cost to their families.
Parishioners are asked to donate supplies St. Paul’s campers will need for the week. The most-needed supplies include:
- Rain jackets or ponchos
- Athletic socks
- Personal toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste)
- Towels for swimming
- Insect repellent
- Decks of playing cards
- Disposable cameras
- Battery-operated personal fans
Donations may be dropped off in the “Camp Bob 2019” bin located at the Goodheart Entrance by Wednesday, July 3.
