Uriel (“God is my Light” appears in the apocryphal book of Esdras, in which Ezra asks God a series of questions, and Uriel is sent to instruct him (2 Esdras 4:1; 5:20; 10:28). He is depicted carrying a scroll representing wisdom. He is a patron of the arts and the patron saint of the sacrament of Confirmation.
