Jeremiah is the second of the major prophets and is traditionally credited with writing the Books of Jeremiah, First and Second Kings, and the Book of Lamentations. He prophesies the coming destruction by the Babylonian army and the exile as the result of Israel’s sins. He is shown with a scroll of his writings.
