The left lancet shows Mary of Bethany; the subject in the lower pedella is her anointing Jesus’s feet. The right lancet shows her sister Martha of Bethany; she is shown in the pedella with her serving trays (Luke 10:38-42). The symbols of the flaming heart and rose are at the tops.
