The Faith & Justice Committee Lunch and Speaker Series, In My Backyard: Faith and Current Events, continues on Thursday, February 19, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the Colhoun room. This month, the Rev. Dr. Stuart Hoke will present, “What Happens when ‘the Faith’ is Dissolved and its Virtue of Justice is Abrogated?” Reflecting on Nazi Germany’s attempt to redesign Christianity as a promotion agency for the state, Stuart will explore lessons to be gleaned from that tumultuous episode in contemporary history as the Church today continues its struggle to confront evil, speak truth to power and stand tall as the Body of Christ. Bring your own lunch. Beverages will be provided.
