The Rev. Darby Oliver Everhard joined St. Paul’s as an Associate Rector in September 2009.
Darby is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and worked in the field of laboratory medicine in Indiana and Virginia for a number of years. She served as a lay hospital chaplain for twelve years at The Christ Hospital and at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated with a Master of Divinity from Bexley Hall Seminary in 2004, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bexley Seabury Federation.
Before coming to St. Paul’s, she was Senior Associate Rector at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park, Ohio. Previously in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, she was a member of the diocesan Finance Commission, the Ecumenical and Interfaith Commission, the Parish Health Commission, and was Chair of the diocesan Altar Guild. Currently, she is a member of the Chartered Committee for Lifelong Christian Formation and the Bishop’s Committee on Liturgy in the Diocese of North Carolina.
Darby enjoys music, reading, gardening, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband Tom have four children and nine grandchildren.
