The Rev. Sara C. Ardrey-Graves

The Rev. Sara C. Ardrey-Graves joined St. Paul’s as Associate Rector in October 2015.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in communication from Appalachian State University in 2002, Sara completed a Master of Divinity degree at Duke Divinity School in 2005 and a Certificate of Anglican Studies at Sewanee School of Theology in 2010. She served as a minister of the United Methodist Church for four years before joining the Episcopal Church.

Sara came to St. Paul’s from Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she was hired as Assistant Rector in August 2010 after being ordained to the transitional diaconate at All Soul’s Cathedral in Asheville, NC. She was ordained to the priesthood and became Associate Rector at Emmanuel in 2011.

Sara is married to Dr. Mark Ardrey-Graves, Director of Music Ministries at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Salisbury, NC, since September 2015. Mark has a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School, a master’s degree in musicology from Duke University and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from James Madison University. He served as Emmanuel’s Music Director and Organist/Choirmaster from 2010 to 2015.
