The St. Paul’s Choir
The St. Paul’s Choir consists of as many as 50 adult singers. The choir sings for the 11:15 a.m. Sunday services during the school year (Labor Day through Memorial Day) and at special services and concerts. The repertoire is ambitious, and a minimum weekly commitment of approximately two hours of rehearsals, plus the Sunday morning rehearsal and service, is asked.
The Summer Choir
The Summer Choir is a great alternative for those who cannot make the time commitment for the Choir. The Summer Choir sings for the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Rehearsals take place before the service every Sunday for the music to be sung that day. The Summer Choir is open to singers of all ages.
The Chamber Choir
The Chamber Choir is a small group from the Choir which sings primarily for Evensong. They may also sing select pieces during such services as A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and the Christmas Eve services, as well as other services from time to time throughout the year. The members of the Chamber Choir need to be capable of preparing advanced music on short rehearsal time. Chamber Choir singers can expect to come early or stay late occasionally for Wednesday night rehearsals, or to have occasional Saturday rehearsals.
Joining the Choirs
Auditions are not required for any of the choirs. All you need are a strong desire to sing and a commitment to being part of the very best choir we can be.
