The Rev. Sara C. Ardrey-Graves joined the staff at St. Paul’s as an Associate Rector in October 2015. Originally from Irmo, South Carolina, Sara served as a United Methodist minister for four years before joining the Episcopal Church in 2008. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from Appalachian State University, her master’s in divinity from Duke Divinity School and her Anglican studies certificate from Sewanee School of Theology.
Sara came to St. Paul’s from the Diocese of Virginia, where she served as the Associate Rector at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Harrisonburg for five years. Sara is married to Dr. Mark Ardrey-Graves, Director of Music for Children and Youth here at St. Paul’s.
Sara and Mark have served several churches in North Carolina over the years, including ones in Durham, Raleigh and Tryon, and are delighted to be back home in North Carolina. They love hiking, traveling, music and driving a ridiculously long way for good Carolina barbecue.
